Skills gaps exist in part because evaluators often rely on indirect evidence from paper-based assessments to gauge an individual’s comprehension level. Choosing or describing the right answer isn’t the same as putting knowledge into action. In order to close these gaps, learners need skill-building opportunities and timely
feedback to help them improve. To this point, resource constraints have made it difficult for organizations to scale skill practice and evaluation using traditional methods.
